Uwe Preuss – Ulrich

Uwe Preuss, born in 1961, grew up in East Germany. He emigrated to West Germany in 1985 and studied theater at the Hochschule der Künste in West Berlin. After the Reunification, Preuss initially worked at the Staatsschauspiel in Dresden. In 1995 Heiner Müller hired him for the Berliner Ensemble. Since 2002, Uwe Preuss has been a freelance actor working in film, television, radio plays and theater. In 2013, the European Independent Film Festival in Paris named him Best Actor for his role in Hiob by Marco Gadge.
